For client-service teams

Agency Monitoring Toolkit

Working drafts for agencies already evaluating CrawlPanel: define the service, onboard one client and explain the responsibility clearly.

This is an agency toolkit, not CrawlPanel pricing. It helps you structure your own client service. CrawlPanel subscriptions, limits and billing remain separate on the Pricing page.

Offer structure

Define the responsibility before setting a price.

Start with an explicit scope, then price your own service around journey complexity, response coverage and reporting. Include the appropriate CrawlPanel subscription in your internal cost calculation.

Example service scope

Website essentials

A visible baseline for care plans that currently promise only informal uptime checks.

Pricing depends on

Number of sites, check frequency, reporting and support coverage.

  • Uptime, response time and SSL
  • Expected public page content
  • Incident alerts during agreed coverage
  • Monthly reliability summary

Example service scope

Forms & access

For lead generation, membership or account sites where a page view is not enough.

Pricing depends on

Journey complexity, test-data maintenance and response coverage.

  • Everything in Website essentials
  • One critical form or login journey
  • Failed-step screenshot and diagnostics
  • Client-facing incident explanation

Example service scope

Commerce journey

For stores where the cart and checkout handoff carry direct commercial risk.

Pricing depends on

Checkout variants, release frequency and priority response coverage.

  • Everything in Forms & access
  • Cart and checkout journey
  • Priority alert routing
  • Monthly review of journey changes
Set your own client fee after accounting for setup, journey changes, taxes, support coverage and the CrawlPanel plan you need. Monitoring is not the same as a 24/7 incident-response promise.

Client onboarding

Start with one outcome that matters.

A smaller, explicit scope is easier to operate and easier for the client to value.

  • Confirm written authorization for every monitored target.
  • Choose one business-critical form, login or checkout flow.
  • Create synthetic accounts and safe test data where needed.
  • Agree the check frequency and support coverage.
  • Choose alert recipients and test every destination.
  • Confirm what evidence the client may view.
  • Run a controlled failure or safe test alert.
  • Review the first monthly report together.

Subject: A clearer way to protect the customer journeys on [Client website]

Hi [Client name],

We would like to add external monitoring to your website care service.

Instead of checking only whether the homepage responds, we will also watch [the lead form / customer login / checkout flow]. If the journey fails, our team receives the failed step and technical evidence so we can investigate sooner.

Your monthly update will summarize availability, incidents and recoveries in clear language.

Proposed service: [Service name]
Monthly fee: [Amount]
Included flows: [List]
Response coverage: [Business hours / agreed schedule]

If this is useful, we can run a short pilot before adding it to the ongoing care plan.

Best,
[Agency name]

Client-facing service description

A concise description for a proposal or care-plan page.

Managed website journey monitoring

We monitor the agreed public website endpoints and customer journeys from outside the website on a defined schedule. Covered journeys may include forms, account login and checkout validation.

When CrawlPanel confirms a failure, our team receives an alert with the failed step and available diagnostic evidence. We investigate and respond according to the support coverage stated in your care plan.

The service reduces time to detection; it does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or replace application security, backups, disaster recovery, load testing or the availability commitments of third-party providers.

Monitoring addendum

A practical working draft to review with your legal adviser and existing agreement.

Monitoring service addendum — working draft

1. Scope
The Agency will monitor the endpoints and customer journeys listed in the service schedule. Any target, account or test data must be approved by the Client.

2. Schedule and response
Checks run at the frequencies stated in the service schedule. Confirmed failures are handled during [support coverage] with a target initial response of [target]. A target is not a guaranteed resolution time.

3. Client responsibilities
The Client will provide and maintain any authorized synthetic accounts, allowlisted access and safe test data required for the agreed journeys. The Client will notify the Agency before material website or checkout changes.

4. Data and credentials
Both parties will minimize personal data in monitored journeys. Production payment credentials and real customer data must not be used in scheduled tests unless separately documented and lawfully authorized.

5. Dependencies and limitations
Monitoring identifies observed failures but does not guarantee continuous service. The Agency is not responsible for outages caused by hosting, payment, identity, network or other third-party providers outside the Agency's control, except to the extent separately agreed.

6. Reporting and retention
The Agency will provide [monthly] reliability reporting. Evidence and history are retained according to the active CrawlPanel plan and the Agency's documented process.

7. Term and price
The monitoring service starts on [date], costs [amount and tax treatment] per [month/year], and follows the termination terms of the main agreement.

This draft must be reviewed and adapted to the actual service, governing law and existing client contract. It is not legal advice.

Start with one client and one critical journey.

Prove the workflow operationally before expanding the service across every care-plan customer.
