Cookie policy

A clear record of the browser storage CrawlPanel uses, why it is needed and how you remain in control.

01

How CrawlPanel uses browser storage

CrawlPanel uses cookies and similar browser storage for two separate purposes: to provide requested security and account functions, and—only with permission—to understand aggregate visits to the public website.

Optional analytics is disabled by default. Rejecting analytics does not restrict access to the public website or your CrawlPanel account.

02

Strictly necessary storage

Authentication and security cookies maintain signed-in sessions, protect account access and support requested security features. These are required to provide the service and cannot be disabled through the analytics preference.

The local storage key “crawlpanel.analytics-consent” remembers whether analytics was allowed or rejected, so the website can respect the choice on future visits. It remains until the visitor changes the preference or clears browser storage.

03

Optional Google Analytics 4

When a visitor selects “Allow analytics”, CrawlPanel loads Google Analytics 4 to measure public-page visits and improve marketing content. Advertising storage, Google Signals and ad personalization remain disabled.

GA4 may create first-party identifiers such as “_ga” and a property-specific “_ga_*” cookie. Their duration follows the active Google Analytics configuration and provider limits. CrawlPanel does not load GA4 or create these analytics identifiers before permission.

04

Change or withdraw your choice

Select “Cookie settings” in the footer of any public page to allow or reject analytics at any time. Rejecting analytics disables future collection and removes GA4 cookies available to CrawlPanel on the current domain.

Browser controls can also remove stored cookies and local storage. Clearing the saved preference causes CrawlPanel to ask again if optional analytics is configured.

05

Authenticated product activity

Operational events inside an authenticated workspace are recorded server-side to deliver, secure and improve the requested service. They do not depend on GA4 cookies and are not activated by the public-site analytics choice.

Further details about account, monitoring and product data are available in the Privacy Policy.
